Annotation

At the moment, there has been a significant increase in the number of children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) in educational institutions. This influx of children requires teachers to not only be aware of the features of their development but also to use specific methods and approaches to ensure their successful learning and socialization. Creating appropriate educational and methodological materials for teaching these children the basics of algorithmic learning is a crucial area of research. However, the challenges of teaching children with ASD primarily relate to psychological and pedagogical aspects. These challenges are primarily addressed by specialists in the fields of psychological and educational assistance, such as speech defectologists, speech therapists, and clinical psychologists. A smaller number of studies have been conducted by subject teachers, such as computer scientists. The search for effective solutions to the challenge of teaching algorithmic learning to students with autism spectrum disorders prompted the author to develop appropriate educational and methodological materials, which became the purpose of the research [2]. This process requires a dedicated and attentive approach from the teacher, who must develop “choice strategies” for both teaching methods and specific professional tasks, which are not always clearly defined in advance [6]. The following research objectives were set within the study: 1) to study and analyze specialized literature related to the problem of ASD; 2) to determine the methodology and content for the experimental stage of the work; 3) to conduct a quantitative and qualitative analysis of collected data; 4) to develop educational and methodological materials for teaching children with ASD the basics of algorithmic learning.
