Annotation

In this paper, the phenomenon of socio-cultural adaptation of foreign students is investigated, the difficulties of the course of this process are determined, and ways to overcome them are presented. This article aims to characterize the role of considering sociocultural characteristics in teaching foreigners in the context of digitalization of the Russian higher education system. The authors of the work pays special attention to those ways and methods that will help a foreign student to join the new reality of life and study, using modern means of information and communication technologies, as well as digital educational resources. The article concludes that with a competent approach to organizing work to overcome the difficulties that arise during the socio-cultural adaptation of foreign students, the university administration and the teaching community will be able to help foreign students in leveling socio-cultural differences between ethnic and foreign environments, which will greatly facilitate the process of its integration.
