Annotation
The article presents a brief description of scientometric databases such as: Web of Science, Scopus, RSCI, scientometric indicators. The recommendations of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Russian Federation on publications in scientometric databases of scientific works for applicants for the degree of Doctor of Science and Candidate of Science are given.
