Annotation

The article examines the application of artificial intelligence chatbot ChatGPT in teaching foreign language to future teachers, analyzes linguistic and didactic potential of ChatGPT in the educational process. Types of test tasks for assessing the level of formation of communicative competence of students are given. The purpose of the study: to evaluate the usefulness of ChatGPT in the development of variable test tasks for assessing the foreign language communicative competence of future teachers. Research objectives: analyze the capabilities of ChatGPT in the development of test tasks in a foreign language; approbation of test tasks in the practice of teaching a foreign language.
