Annotation
The article is devoted to the problem of finding ways to increase the cognitive activity of schoolchildren when teaching programming at the level of secondary general
education. The possibility of increasing cognitive activity through the development of computer simulators by high schoolchildren is considered, which, in turn, will have a positive impact on mastering programming. An approach to the creation of computer simulators within the framework of project activities in informatics is proposed.
